TELEWORK
This position offers an opportunity for a hybrid work schedule with a minimum 2-day work in office in the Houston Region Office.

YOUR FUTURE TEAM
As part of TCEQ Compliance and Enforcement, you would help ensure that those we regulate comply with the state's environmental laws.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Prioritize, plan, and conduct investigations; prepare reports to document field activities and observed conditions. Assist with collecting and analyzing environmental samples
- Conduct enforcement and followup activities in accordance with Enforcement Initiation Criteria
- Perform other technical assistance activities, including coordinating and/or participating in the collection of records, technical data, research or analysis as a result of public information requests. Participate on committees and attends meetings, seminars, or workshops as required
Qualifications
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience interpreting environmental regulations and/or reviewing or evaluating environmental permits
- Experience conducting inspections and/or investigations
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, with a major in a natural or physical science, engineering, environmental studies, or related field generally preferred, but not required.
OR
Four years of full-time experience in the field of environmental activities directly related to the examples of work performed.
