The Office of Legal Affairs in the Department - Academic and Legal of the central university administration is seeking to fill the position of a full-time
lawyer at the earliest possible date,
unlimited and
full-time, in Claverack-Red Mills, NY.

The appointment will be made as a
civil servant in the probationary period
(salary group A 13), or alternatively as an
employee
(salary group 13 TV-L), depending on the qualifications.

The Office of Legal Affairs is the central advisory body for legal matters at the University of Bonn.

As part of a team of six lawyers, you will be responsible for a variety of legal tasks in different areas (including civil law, contract law, procurement law, and public law, particularly academic matters, examination law, and data protection law).

Your responsibilities will include:

Drafting and reviewing important contracts for the university and participating in the development of statutes and regulations
Representing the University of Bonn in legal disputes (both in and out of court)
