Job Summary:


Responsibilities:

Provides technical expertise to fundamental and/or applied scientific research under the direction of senior research personnel or faculty.

  • 20% Collects and analyzes basic research data, conducts experiments and interviews, and documents results according to established policies and procedures
  • 20% Conducts literature reviews, prepares reports and materials, and disseminates information to appropriate entities and assists with publications
  • 10% Trains individuals and groups on equipment operations, research protocols, and techniques within a specialized laboratory or research area
  • 20% Assists with the development of research methodologies and procedures
  • 5% Identifies concerns and recommends solutions to leadership
  • 10% Helps prepare, organize, and maintain video, audio, and text clips for the study team
  • 10% Provides operational guidance on daytoday activities of unit or program staff and/or student workers

Education:

Required
Master's Degree
Preferred focus in Public Health or related field


Qualifications:


  • Minimum two years of experience in public health or social research environment required. Graduate and/or student experience will be considered.
  • Experience working with health experiences data in multiple formats preferred.
  • Experience providing staff or student support within a multidisciplinary team is desirable.
  • One year of experience in qualitative or mixedmethods research is preferred, including any related experience in dissemination and implementation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, MAXQDA software, and/or Abode premier software.
  • Detailoriented with excellent interpersonal, problemsolving and organization skills.

License/Certification:

Required
Drivers License - Valid and Meets UW Risk Management Standards


Work Type:

Full or Part Time: 80% - 100%

This position may require some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location.

Salary:


Minimum $42,226 ANNUAL (12 months)
Depending on Qualifications
The starting salary for the position is $42,226 but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
