Position Description:
We are searching for a Human Resources Director.

This position is responsible for managing a range of activities related to talent management functions, payroll, health and welfare benefits, and business partnership.

Designs and administers human resources policies and procedures that cover the bank and can be applicable to associations. Reports to and assists the Sr. Vice President of HRM in strategic planning and delivery of Human Resources services to the bank and association customers. Collects, analyzes, and leverages HR data to make recommendations to leadership. Authorized to represent the bank to partner and enhance bank and/or association business needs and objectives.


Day-to Day-Duties and Responsibilities:

Working in our hybrid work design you will:

  • Leads a team that provides guidance to managers and employees on issues related to talent mana gement, diversity and inclusion, payroll, benefits, and retirement.
  • Business partnership with leaders with a focus on coaching and consulting to leverage HR expertise to influence business decisions.
  • Administers, interprets, and assists in revising and developing various human resource practices, policies and procedures. Provides advice and counsel to managers regarding personnel practices, policies, employment laws, and various employee relations issues. Recommends policy changes to the Sr. VP of HRM.
  • In partnership with the AgFirst/Farm Credit Bank of Texas plan administrator, responsible for benefit plan design and implementation. Interprets provisions of benefit plans, monitors programs, and makes recommendations for enhancements.
  • Ensures bank compliance with all state and federal discrimination and employment regulations.
  • Oversees compliance with USCIS regulations including I9 and employee immigration programs as well as employmentbased visa processes.
  • Provides Sr. VP of HRM various human resource reports as necessary. Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Participates in developing department goals and objectives, development plans, systems, and processes with an emphasis on process improvements and operational excellence.
  • Handles employee counseling, employee assistance program, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing; resolves employee relations issues using conflict resolution best practices; participates as a team member on bank, departmental and divisional change management teams.
  • Oversees employee meetings and employee engagement events. Presents at a variety of HRM sponsored activities, programs, training sessions, committee meetings and prepares supporting materials. Develops agendas and reviews topics and prepares employee communications.
  • Responds to bank audits that detail personnel practices, affir mative action plans, diversity, and salary administration processes.
  • Recommends an operational budget for areas of responsibility which will provide the necessary resources to effectively and efficiently carry out the required functions.
  • Oversees Diversity Council activities and administration to support diversity strategic goals.
  • Consults with association contacts on general employment issues.
  • Oversees department records management / enterprise content management processes.
  • Serves as department data steward.

This position requires:


A bachelor's degree in human resource management, business administration, industrial relations or related d egree or equivalent combination of education and experience, plus (10) ten or more years of direct HR experience with a concentration in HR Administration, Employee Relations, and Business Partnership.
