Direct Support Professional II
This role is open for Morning, Evening, and Night shifts across different homes.
This position may qualify for extra compensation for work carried out in the evenings, nights, and/or weekends.

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) II collaborates within a team that aids individuals with intellectual disabilities in reaching their objectives.
This encompasses regular and emergency care, treatment, and training for individuals with intellectual disabilities in various environments.Tasks may vary and can include responsibilities such as grooming, bathing, feeding, monitoring and reporting individuals' conditions and behaviors, engaging in meaningful interactions with individuals, and participating in personalized training and/or active treatment programs for both males and females.
The DSP records details about the individual's life, including daily occurrences, reactions to activities within the residence, training, and any unusual incidents.
Completing tasks involves executing simple and/or routine duties, with decision-making supported by guidance provided during job preparation and by other professional team members.
Work is conducted in a team setting with supervision and training provided. May offer training/mentorship to new DSP I colleagues and/or volunteer as a shift/team leader. This role entails operating a state-owned vehicle.Essential Job Functions:
Regular attendance at work is required, with the potential for working fixed shifts, rotational schedules, extended shifts, and/or overtime in line with agency leave policies, as well as performing additional assigned duties.
Execution of habilitation and rehabilitation, behavior management, crisis intervention, and treatment programs with individuals that are directly linked to the individual's programs.
Teaching life skills such as feeding, dressing, and personal hygiene to individuals.
Contributing to the development of the individual's treatment plan.
Monitoring individuals for signs and symptoms of illness, injury, medication reactions, or other conditions warranting medical attention, and accurately documenting observations.
Reporting notable changes in an individual's physical condition or behavior and recording relevant information.
Assisting in transporting individuals for scheduled activities and in emergency scenarios, as necessary.
Providing first aid to individuals as needed.
Addressing the healthcare requirements of individuals under medical supervision.
Evacuating individuals during fires, natural disasters, emergencies, or drills.
Preventing or managing aggressive behavior among individuals and administering CPR during emergency situations.
Delivering direct care and support services to individuals.
May offer training/mentorship to new DSP Is and/or volunteer as a shift/team leader.
Additional assigned duties may involve actively participating and/or supporting the agency in meeting obligations for disaster response and/or recovery, or Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) activation.
Such involvement may necessitate an alternate shift pattern assignment and/or location.Knowledge Skills Abilities:
