Position: Human Resources Specialist/Coordinator

Type: 6 months + (Possibility of extension) or 6 months Contract-to-Hire
Hourly Rate:
$36 per hour
Only candidates local to the area will be considered.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the Human Resources team at Irvine Distribution Center by conducting research, coordinating reports, running queries, and assisting with employee and team requests.
- Maintain accurate HR database records, conduct data audits, identify process improvements, and collaborate with HR management for enhancement.
- Handle Diversity and Balanced Workforce reporting activities as well as SF Health Ordinance and Benefit Reporting.
- Manage backstage and warehouse hiring processes from requisition to posting positions via the applicant tracking system.
- Oversee new hire onboarding tasks such as paperwork completion, training setup, and orientation scheduling.
- Coordinate drug screenings, background checks, and I9 processes for new hires at Irvine Distribution Center.
- Assist in various HR projects/programs such as Onboarding, Payroll, Diversity initiatives, and more.
- Perform other assigned projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or G.E.D.
- * Being a fluent Spanish speaker is highly desirable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Access, Visio, and PowerPoint. Experience with PeopleSoft and managing large databases is a plus.
- Familiarity with HR practices, Federal and State regulations, and excellent customer service skills.
- Strong planning, organizing, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
Technology Skills:
Experience with HRIS systems, MS Office, and collaboration tools like Teams.
Experience Required: Minimum of 4 years in office roles, preferably in Human Resources.
Education/Certifications: High School Diploma or G.E.D. Equivalent. College Degree is preferred.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays. Shifts could be 6:00 am to 2:30 pm or 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with Fridays requiring 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.
