- Lead a team of reliability engineers, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
- Develop and implement a multi-year strategy to minimize equipment downtime and maximize refinery output.
- Leverage industry best practices and data analysis to proactively identify and address potential equipment issues before they occur.
- Collaborate with Operations and Maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability through preventive maintenance programs and best practices implementation.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to your team, ensuring a deep understanding of API and ASME standards relevant to refinery operations (e.g., API 510, 570, 653, 580; ASME Section I, Section VIII Div I, B31.3/B31.1).
- Oversee proactive reliability studies and analyze metrics to identify asset performance trends, using insights to address potential issues and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Represent the refinery in industry networks, contributing to best practice development and standards.
- Manage department budgets and resources, ensuring efficient allocation to achieve operational goals.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (required)
- 5+ years of experience in a related field, with at least 4 years in a refining environment (required)
- Proficiency in API (510, 570, 653, 580, etc.) & ASME (Section I, Section VIII Div I, B31.3/B31.1, etc.) standards
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of engineers
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- A Master's degree or MBA is a plus
