Human Resources Manager - Veterinary Medicine - Southern California

Human Resources Manager to provide invaluable support to our vibrant veterinary hospitals across Southern California.


As a pivotal member of our team, you will directly impact our company by shaping our culture and ensuring we attract, develop, and retain the best talent in the industry.

This position is in-person, requiring regular travel between hospitals with approximately 15% remote work

Key Responsibilities:


  • Empowerment and Support: Serve as the goto HR resource for employees and managers, fostering an inclusive culture, and addressing workplace concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Partner with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to implement HR programs seamlessly, ensuring effective communication and anticipating challenges.
  • Employee Relations: Proactively manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, providing guidance, conducting investigations, and collaborating with HR Business Partners and legal counsel as needed.
  • Performance Enhancement: Coach leaders through performance concerns, facilitate performance reviews, and ensure fair and equitable treatment across all levels.
  • Compliance and Analytics: Maintain compliance with employment laws and regulations while leveraging data and analytics to drive meaningful insights and strategies.

Compensation:

$80,000 - $100,000 base compensation, with a variable bonus of up to
10% based on market performance


Qualifications:


  • Experience and Education: Minimum of 35 years in an HR/Generalist role. California HR certification
    strongly preferred
  • Proactive Problem Solver: Navigate ambiguity with ease, handling multiple tasks, and prioritizing effectively.
  • HR Expertise: Solid understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment laws, with a knack for navigating ambiguous situations.
  • Empathetic Leader: Exhibit strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence, fostering trust and collaboration across all levels of the organization.
