Climbing Wall Instructor

Maggie Daley Park Climbing Wall_
Reports to: Head Instructor & Climbing Wall Supervisor_

Summary

A Maggie Daley Park Climbing Wall Instructor will be expected to perform all the responsibilities of a regular wall attendant.

Their extra responsibilities will include belaying climbers and teaching Top Rope Certification classes.

Pay:

Commensurate with experience

Dates:

May 24th, - September 2024.

Essential Responsibilities:

Belay individual climbers as needed.
Facilitate climbing orientations and certifications.
Be aware of all equipment and conduct inspections when needed.
Teach the basics of climbing and belaying during events and classes.

Qualifications:

Excellent customer service.
Able to work 20 hours a week with flexibility.
Must have previous experience with climbing.
Have weekend availability when needed to work.
Have exceptional awareness and attention to detail.
Be comfortable working with families and small children.
Must obtain Lakeshore Sport & Fitness belay certification.
Able to troubleshoot situations while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
