- Responsible for and maintain 100% critical systems uptime
- Train towards becoming a First Responder to critical infrastructure alarms
- Accurate and timely completion of work orders
- Handle different tool and equipment with precision
- Adhere to Switch Safety Policies and Procedures
- Work with vendors and contractors to ensure their work meets Switch standards
- Assist in inspecting buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions
- Perform assigned collateral duties and tasks assigned by management staff

- Some knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems that may be employed in a data center environment; this may include electrical feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS Systems, DC power Systems, ATS/STS units, PDU units, breakers, batteries, load bank connections, CRACs, air handling units, fluid coolers, pumps, cages, and fire suppression systems
- Knowledge of data center, safety, electrical, and cooling designs
- Must follow established safety practices and procedures in applicable situations
- Ability to work any shift in a 24x7x365 Operation, including weekends and holidays
- Must have good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Must possess basic typing, email, and computer skills
- Microsoft Suite: Must have Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills

Beyond the Job Description:
At least 4-5 years of work experience; 2-3 in the technical field or someone right out of HVAC school
-Technical military experience would be HUGE PLUS (avionics or engineering)
-Looking for someone who is really ready to learn; it takes about a year to be fully trained in the role
-Their team is currently comprised of individuals with a variety of backgrounds from vets to diesel mechanics- looking for someone who will share the teams culture of showing up, working hard to contribute to getting the tasks at hand completed and being proud of the work that was done for the shift.
-Typical Day- debrief with manager to see what is on the books for the shift- go through the plan/workflow and any special projects, they will do escorting as well- when maintenance needs to be done on machinery that is still under warranty and other company sends out their own mechanics to work on it.
-Freedom to take appropriate breaks throughout their schedule and won't be micromanaged
General Purpose of the Position:
The Data Center Operations (DCO) Systems Technician I will work as a team player to provide technical escort in support of all maintenance, operations, and expansion efforts; including critical infrastructure of power, cooling systems, communications, and facilities. Also, completing preventative maintenance as planned by Systems Management.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; and Technical Trade School related to Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics
Experience: 2 year experience in general field as full time employee
