- Conducting support/process groups for youth, young adults, and adults who are survivors of sex trafficking both in-house at the Family Partnership and in corrections facilities around the metro area.
- Providing crisis intervention, support, information, referral, and case management in-person and over the phone (travel to meet clients in the community a regular requirement).
- Connecting clients with community resources and assisting clients in using resources.
- Assisting clients with creating safety and goal plans and monitoring their progress regularly.
- Providing court advocacy as needed.
- Maintaining partnerships with law enforcement and assisting partners with detail operations as they pertain to victims of sex trafficking.
- Providing appropriate transportation to clients as needed.
- Assisting with creating transition/release plans for currently incarcerated clients who are not currently working with any other services.
- Assisting clients in obtaining and maintaining housing.
- Assisting with the coordination of services between client, probation officers, social workers, treatment centers, shelter teams, therapists, medical professionals, etc.
- Facilitating outreach in the community including court outreach in the government center and public safety facilities.
- Attend regular community meetings such as Justice Involved Girls & Women's Task Force and other community meetings pertaining to justice involved clients.
- Providing training and education about PRIDE Program and sex trafficking to the public.
- Documenting and recording program outcomes in the agency's databases.
- Conduct housing assessments to determine eligibility for housing placement.
- Providing reports for other community stakeholders such as probation officers and social workers as requested and outlined in current contracts held by the agency.
- Preparing materials and activities for group sessions both at the agency and in the community.
- Maintaining court calendar for dissemination to criminal justice and judicial partners.
- Completing documentation of drug court calendar for billing purposes.
- Maintaining documentation of community groups client rosters.
- Extracting data from online court databases for the purpose of staying informed about new and continuing cases.
- You hold a bachelor's degree in human services, social work, or a related field, have four years of relevant experience, or have an equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
- You hold a variety of specialized training that prepares individuals to work in trauma-informed ways with trafficking victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault (for example: case management, advocacy, group dynamics, and victim rights/services).
- You have experience with direct practice work with women and teens who have experienced trafficking, commercial sexual exploitation, and prostitution.
- You preferably have two years of experience with engaging and mentoring youth.
- You have a working knowledge of legislation such as VAWA, TVPA, and similar laws and legislature that impact victims of sex trafficking.
- You have a working knowledge of how criminal justice and court systems work.
- You are skilled in facilitating groups with women of diverse ages and ability levels, such as comprehension and learning styles.
- You have the ability to work evening and weekend hours as needed.
- You have the ability to write in English sufficiently to provide correct grammar in client case notes and in written documents on behalf of the client.
- You are skilled in conducting training sessions for professionals.
- You have an understanding of issues important to urban, low-income communities, communities of color, GLBT communities, and other oppressed and/or vulnerable populations.
- You have knowledge and understanding of co-occurring mental health/chemical dependency concerns when working with at-risk populations.
- You have effective leadership skills with the ability to motivate others, develop professional relationships, and collaboratively work with other staff.
- You have the ability to work with and manage several databases and maintain client confidentiality.
- Valid driver's license, access to reliable transportation, and the ability to meet TFP's driving record requirements.
