About the Role:


Bussers are responsible for bussing tables in a timely and professional manner by removing all dirty dishes, utensils, and trash from the table and wiping and cleaning the table, chairs and floor areas.

Job Responsibilities & Tasks:


  • Buss tables by removing all dirty dishes, utensils, and trash from the table
  • Wipes and cleans the table, chairs and floor areas according to Din Tai Fung's Bussing SOP
  • Brings full bussing bins (up to 50 pounds) to the dish pit and sorts the contents according to Din Tai Fung's Bussing Standard Operating Procedure ("SOP")
  • Prebuss tables by clearing finished dishes
  • Takes out the trash after each shift and whenever necessary during shifts
  • Labels all items in accordance with Health Department regulations and Din Tai Fung procedures
  • Attends monthly staff meetings and Busser meetings

Supporting Functions:


  • Maintains a cheerful, friendly and welcoming demeanor to all guests and coworkers
  • Keeps all Front of House areas clean, organized and sanitized
  • Lifts/moves boxes, bags, chairs, and tables (up to 50 pounds)
  • Assists with regular deep cleaning of the restaurant
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding all propriety information, including but not limited to recipes and Standard Operating Procedures ("SOP's").
