The position of OGS Director primarily involves planning and implementing needs-based offerings in the areas of education, upbringing, and counseling within the context of the Open All-Day School in Grimes, IA.

Job Profile:

Organizing and coordinating all offerings within the OGS program
Planning extracurricular activities and leisure programs
Organizing and managing homework assistance and study time
Scheduling and creating work schedules for employees
Managing lunchtime meals
Administering the budget for supplies and materials
Conducting team meetings
Implementing and developing the overall concept in coordination with the OGS team, school management, and the sponsoring organization
Adhering to the guidelines and concepts of the organization
Collaborating with school management, teachers, educational staff, parttime employees, and external partners in the fields of youth services, sports, and music

Desired Competencies:

Completed degree in social work or equivalent qualification
Experience in coordination/team leadership roles
Pedagogical knowledge and experience, preferably in early childhood education and primary school education
Basic knowledge of youth services
Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively
Strong communication and organizational skills
Knowledge of local social service networks (or willingness to acquire this knowledge)
Basic computer skills
