Cook
Job Summary
Cooks support the back-of-house operations and kitchensthrough preparing, cooking, and plating dishes for member meals and eventswhile maintaining excellent customer service. Primarily working in theevenings, the line cook will perform these tasks for dinner services, usingrecipes and menu items created by the head chef.
Responsibilities
Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to, thefollowing:
•Setting up and stocking workstations withnecessary supplies
•Work with other kitchen staff to coordinate,prepare, and cook food for service including chopping vegetables, preparingsauces, and cooking menu items
•Ensure food comes out simultaneously, in highquality, accurate, and in a timely manner
•Support back-of-house operations especiallypertaining to food quality, safety standards, food rotation, and storage
•Present, garnish, and arrange final dishes
•Ensure proper inventory and make sure all finalproducts are fresh
•Monitor maintenance and cleanliness of kitchenarea and kitchen equipment
•Adhere to HACCP food safety procedures
•Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
Key knowledge, skills abilities include, but are not limitedto, the following:
•Possesses a commitment and eagerness to provideexcellent customer service
•High school diploma or general education degree(GED)
•Knowledge of various cooking procedures andmethods, with relevant culinary/restaurant experience preferred
•Organized, able to think and act quickly andeffectively while retaining self-composure
•Excellent verbal and interpersonal communicationskills with the ability to collaborate with others and work as a team
•Ability to communicate clearly and concisely anduphold a positive and enthusiastic attitude
