Smile Pediatric Therapy & Diagnostics has been providing therapy, assessments, and early intervention programs to infants, toddlers, and school-aged children—in clinic, home, and school settings—for over 8 years.
Located near the Los Angeles areas of Los Feliz, Silver Lake, Echo Park, and Downtown, we are currently seeking a
Child Development Specialist to join our dynamic team.
SMILE IS A FUN, PROGRESSIVE THERAPEUTIC PEDIATRIC CENTER OFFERING:
- Initial and ongoing training/mentorship to all employees including intensive Registered Behavior Therapist (RBT) training and Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) training

The
Child Development Specialist will primarily work closely with our Behavior Therapy Leadership to provide support to individuals with autism in a group, clinic-based setting, while working as a part of a multidisciplinary treatment team.
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in early childhood development, or a related degree including but not limited to: behavior intervention, special education, child development, psychology, etc.
- MUST have minimum one year of experience in a childcare environment (e.g., preschool, clinic setting, social skills groups, etc.)
- Experience working with or providing treatment to children with or at risk for ASD with knowledge of Applied Behavioral Analysis and DIR/Floor-Time Treatment approaches
- At least 6 months of experience working with the pediatric population (generally, 12 months to 6 years of age)
- Ability to provide direct services to families and children across a variety of settings (clinic, home, community)
- Effective planning and problemsolving
- Excellent oral communication and written skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills
- Must be compassionate, innovative, flexible, selfmotivated and be able to work with families and children in a supportive way to foster learning and development
- Must be able to work alongside Smile's therapists and staff members to support a dynamic, positive work environment
- Bilingual speaking a plus
Pay:
$ $25.00 per hour
