Responsibilities of a SECURITY OFFICER

Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people in the property
Secure all exits, doors and windows at assigned times
Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts
Investigate people for suspicious activity
Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation
Provide assistance to people in need
Submit incident, maintenance and parking violation reports
Provide armed security for a private school in Houston, TX
Ensure the safety and security of students, faculty, and staff
Monitor and control access to the school premises
Respond to emergencies and incidents in a timely and professional manner
Conduct regular patrols of the school grounds and buildings
Report any suspicious activity or behavior to the appropriate authorities
Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times
Use critical thinking and fast thinking skills to assess and respond to situations

Skills of a SECURITY OFFICER

Ability to conduct Access Control, allowing entrance to site only to authorized personnel
Familiarity with report writing
Excellent surveillance and observation skills
Techsavvy with experience using apps to generate reports
Licensed Security Officer with State of Texas
Education: High School Diploma or GED
