Virginia Health Services is in search of a
Recruiter to join our team here in
Newport News, VA. This position can be either
Full Time or Part Time, working
Monday - Friday.

Responsibilities:


  • Establish, cultivate, and maintain ongoing relationships with hiring managers in order to understand the recruitment needs; develop and maintain a strong rapport with key leaders.
  • Assist with recruitment programs, budgets, and collateral to attract applicants and to fill specific job openings.
  • Develop and maintain contacts with schools, alumni groups, and other public organizations to find and attract applicants.
  • Write and place job advertising in various media and monitor monthly/annual advertising budget for the areas of responsibility.
  • Analyze demographics data and hiring activity for use in designing recruitment plans. Coordinate participation in, set up display, and recruit at job fairs.
  • Perform reference and background checks on applicants.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of EEO policy; show respect and sensitivity for cultural differences; educate others on the value of diversity; promote a harassmentfree environment; contribute to building a diverse workforce.
  • Treat people with respect; keeps commitments; inspire the trust of others; work with integrity and principles; uphold organizational values.
  • Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; look for ways to improve and promote quality. Monitor own work to ensure quality.
  • Meet productivity standards; completes work in timely manner; strives to increase productivity; works quickly.
  • Coordinates communications with applicants, responds to applicants quickly, providing periodic updates for qualified applicants.
  • Coordinates applicants, necessary documentation and reporting for internal training programs, and workforce development grants.
  • Files and maintains employment records for future references. Other duties may be assigned.

Education:


  • Associates degree required.

Required Skills:


  • 2+ years recruitment experience required. Health care experience preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
Ability to function in a rapidly changing healthcare environment.
