    Executive Chef - Creative Independent Concept

    Intimate new concept with less than 50 seats is debuting on the Westside Opening late Q2 and looking to hire right away Looking for a Chef to lead the opening, oversee culinary, and creatively collaborate with passionate ownership. A la carte dinner only + special invite tasting menu dinners. Menu in the vein of Western Mediterranean with strong French and Italian influences.

    Past experience having traveled or staged in Europe a huge plus

    Executive Chef Responsibilities:

    • Creatively evolve the a la carte menu and create one-off dinner tasting experiences
    • Ensure that all food and products are expertly and consistently prepared
    • Maintain operational control of purchasing, receiving, and inventory of all kitchen items
    • Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition
    • Schedule labor as required by anticipating business activity while ensuring that all positions are staffed as needed and labor cost goals are met
    • Provide employees and staff with proper training on all recipes as well as maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, safety and organization
    • Provide leadership and mentorship to culinary team
    • Create a work environment that promotes teamwork, representation, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction

    Executive Chef Skills/Qualifications:

    • 2 years senior culinary management experience (Executive Chef, Chef de Cuisine, Senior or Executive Sous Chef)
    • Dedication to excellent food quality and ensuring compliance with all health and safety, and safe food handling practices
    • Passion for food and guest experience
    • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
    • Ability to communicate effectively in a positive/upbeat fashion
    • Experience in food cost, labor cost, menu costing
    • Active ServSafe Management Food Safety Certificate
    • A flexible schedule. Mornings, nights, weekends and holidays are required

    Compensation Package Includes:

    • Salary in the $110-$115k range, depending on experience
