- As the Clinical Director, incumbent is responsible for clinical services provided by medical staff providers.
- Supervises others.
- Works closely with allied health professionals (i.e., community health nurses, social workers, health educators, etc.) in the provision of health program services
- Serves as a liaison for primary care medical staff, communicating to the Nursing Supervisor, Executive Committee, and Administration their views, needs and concerns involving policy, problems, practices and procedures that could affect the quality of care rendered.
- Establishes departmental methods, policies and procedures related to primary care medical services and assures that satisfactory patient referral policies and mechanisms exist.
- Interviews and examines patients, reviews past medical history, and requests and/or performs diagnostic tests and examinations deemed necessary to obtain all possible information related to each case.
