    Your New Role...

    This role will help drive privacy and data related compliance across Warner Bros Discovery. S/he advises business executives and technology stakeholders on a range of privacy, data strategy, adtech, and product and platform requirements, including counselling on compliance with many new US state laws, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and other emerging global laws. This person will work with issues of first impression, emerging technology, and cutting-edge business models in entertainment, news, sports.

    Your Role Accountabilities...

    • Act as primary point of contact for stakeholders in our consumer privacy product and technology teams and our enterprise privacy teams to provide strategic, creative, and innovative privacy advice for their own portfolio of high-profile brands, products, and franchises, which could include CNN, Bleacher Report, Wizarding World/Harry Potter, DC, WB Games, WBD Studio Tours and Shops, HGTV, Food Network, etc.
    • Draft and negotiate complex and strategic agreements and terms related to digital advertising, transfer of data, use of data, security terms, etc.
    • Advise advertising and digital marketing teams on compliant methods to use, collect, and share data with third parties and other vendors
    • Draft, review, and ensure compliance with our privacy policies and consumer individual rights requests
    • Collaborate with our privacy operations, technology, and business teams to drive privacy-by-design and privacy and data-related initiatives across WBD.

    Qualifications & Experience...

    • Experience working with senior executives, explaining complex legal concepts in easily understandable terms
    • Experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements
    • BA or BS required
    • JD or LLM from an accredited school required
    • Member of the California State Bar (or another state bar and capable of waiving in) in good standing required
    • Strong legal judgment and ability to quickly and thoughtfully analyze issues of first impression
    • Capable of driving a team of people forward and keeping them on task, moving projects forward and delivering high quality, detail-oriented work
    • Capable of driving projects forward and accomplishing the highest priority work first.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (business and technical).
    • Ability to use a PC, including medium to advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
    • Ability to communicate effectively, clearly and tactfully with clients and third parties in person, on the telephone, via email, and in written and oral presentations
    • Ability to handle multiple simultaneous projects
    • Ability to function well under pressure and to prioritize and reprioritize frequently
    • Ability to meet a schedule or deadline set by someone else
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Excellent analytical skills
    • Practical and creative problem-solving approach
    • General Office Activities: Walking, standing, sitting, talking, lifting, finger manipulation, reading, etc.
    • 10+ years of experience in consumer privacy, digital advertising, analytics, anonymization/pseudonymization of data, as well as information security policies and standards, including incident response, data governance, and other enterprise and employee privacy and security issues. (Preferred)
    • A combination of in-house and private practice experience. (Preferred)
    • Engineering background and/or experience working closely with engineers in games, consumer intelligence, and across the studio to define technical requirements. (Preferred)
    • Knowledge of the entertainment industry, international privacy laws, information security, and PCI standards. (Preferred)
    • Privacy knowledge and/or willingness and enthusiasm to dig into privacy issues and emerging technology. (Preferred)
    • Project management / prioritization skills. (Preferred)
    • Prior experience supporting a sourcing project or managed services. (Preferred)

    In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. $150, $279,500.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
