As a CAD Technician, you will create electronic design plans using computer software and work closely with Engineers to turn blueprints and technical drawings into 2D/3D computer models.
Responsibilities, Expectations, and Duties:
- Prioritize work to meet various project requests and deadlines, answering to various engineers and project managers
- Drafting and design work for a variety of projects across multiple disciplines
- Working in structural detailing, site plans, drainage, grading, utilities (profiles), SWPPP, and other associated items
- Create/Modify technical drawings of roads, bridges, pipelines, etc.
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure that the drawings are correct and represent the design accurately
- Compiling and maintaining the entire plan set of technical drawings
Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:
- Knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil3D and Bentley/Microstation, required
- Manage project data files from various sources
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings; ability to think 3dimensionally
- Must be able to work independently with the ability to accomplish multiple tasks, with competing priorities
- Be a professional, creative, teamfocused individual that works well with others in a team environment
- Be enthusiastic, dedicated, and selfdisciplined to work effectively in a fastpaced environment
- Associate degree or equivalent technical degree, a plus
- 36 years' experience
