Overview:

Responsibilities:


  • Assist in the completion of commercial design work, including complete layout and design of exterior building, wall sections, and conceptual layouts for interior space planning.
  • Independently complete the work and identify all issues which require attention.
  • Collaborate with and report to the senior designer and the VP of Property Management for various projects.
  • Proficiently utilize software tools such as AutoCAD
  • Architectural ( current version), Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office suite products.
  • Utilize the International Building Code ( IBC), International Existing Building Code (IEBC) and the ANSI 117 Building Code ( inclusive of current adopted and supplemental codes)
  • Research construction products, participate in project meetings and provide creative input.

Experience:

The following skills are required for the Facility Designer role:

  • Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Revit and MS products.
  • Familiarity with Bluebeam software is desired.
  • Ability to demonstrate use of facility design principles and building code compliance.
  • Knowledge of local municipal government processes beneficial; Experience a plus.
