Spectacular Kids of Missouri City is currently seeking a BCBA


We are looking for the individual who possess a positive attitude, are motivated, and enjoy working with children to join our team.


Why should you join Spectacular Kids? SpecKids is independently owned by a BCBA with over 18 years of experience. We have weekly team meetings with our direct care staff. We also have weekly BCBA meetings with the Clinical Director.

Spectacular Kids focuses on client progress not billable hours. Our BCBAs max out at a caseload of 8 clients. We have spectacular Administrative team that processes all Scheduling, Intake and Insurance needs.

Spectacular Kids offers a

Employees are eligible for insurance after 60 days of employment, and 401(k) with employer match after one year of employment.

BCBAs are responsible for the development of individualized treatment plans for their assigned clients.

Additionally, BCBAs are responsible for training and supervision of staff, in addition to maintaining professional relationships with parents and other service providers.


Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Conduct initial assessments with potential clients.
  • Conduct reevaluations for existing clients every 3 to 6months.
  • Write thorough and extensive reports summarizing results of assessments.
  • Create an individualized treatment plan for clients based on results of assessments.
  • Conduct parent meetings to review results of assessments and goals for treatment plans.
  • Train direct care staff on treatment plans for each client.
  • Supervise direct care staff on implementation of treatment plans.
  • Review client data daily, and utilize this knowledge to adjust programming as needed.
  • Write monthly summary reports for client progress.
  • Conduct functional analyses (FA) to determine functions of behavior
  • Accurately interpret results of FA's to create appropriate behavior plans to reduce maladaptive behaviors.
  • Supervise clients directly on a weekly basis.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation as required by insurance companies.
  • Attend yearly conferences to continue to build knowledge of ABA principles.
  • Maintain required continuing education units (CEUs) as required by the BACB.
  • Maintain all ethical standards as required by the BACB.
  • Maintain client confidentiality at all times.
  • Determine necessary stimuli to be created or purchased for all clients.
  • Conduct bimonthly team meetings to review changes and clarify programs with direct care staff.
  • Meet with Lead BCBA weekly to review client progress and goals, and gain updates on company policies and procedures.

Skills and Abilities:


  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to write effective communication in a timely manner.
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Must be able to lead and direct staff in a professional and effective manner.
  • Must be able to verbally communicate effectively with parents and staff.
  • Must be able to complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Must be able to read and interpret client data.
  • Must be able to adjust client programming quickly and efficiently.
  • Must be able to navigate an iPad.
  • Must be proficient in utilizing updated research articles to guide programming decisions.
  • Must be able to competently complete the Safety-Care training
  • Must be a team player and possess a positive attitude.
  • Must be able to conduct function based assessments and functional analyses in addition to guiding others to complete these assessments.

Physical Requirements:


  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to move from a seated to standing position quickly.
  • Must be able to stay in various positions (i.e. seated, standing, kneeling) for extended lengths of time.
  • Must be able to utilize physical management strategies, including restraint without difficulty.
  • Must be able to withstand acts of physical aggression implemented by a client (i.e. hitting, biting, scratching, headbutting).
  • Must be able to travel in and out of state.

Education:


  • Minimum of a Master's Degree in Psychology or Education.
  • Must possess a Board Certification from the BACB.

Pay:
$70, $85,000.00 per year
