a manufacturer of high quality technical and food grade chemicals in Peoria, IL, has an opening for a
Quality Control Lab Technician.

This is a first shift position, with weekend and/or occasional off-shift work.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Key duties include, but are not limited to:

• Analysis of product samples at various stages of production.
• Utilizes a variety of analytical methods including wet chemistry and titration to perform various laboratory tests.
• Prepares reagents and standards as necessary to do analysis.
• Performs calibrations and maintenance on assigned items.
• Prepares sample orders.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Associates' Degree in Chemistry or related field.
• Previous lab experience, preferably in a fermentation process.
• Thorough knowledge of organic chemistry and microbiology.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, ERP systems, etc.
• Strong math, problem solving, and analytical skills.
• Well organized, detail oriented, and possess the ability to perform multiple tasks with minimum supervision.

Pay:
From $24.13 per hour
