We are looking for a trustworthy caregiver to assist an 80-year-old visually impaired woman (my mother) who has recently undergone surgery for a fractured femur and has a prosthetic leg.

She is currently being cared for by her son, who lives with her.

However, he will be away for two weeks for work and we need someone to take care of her during that time.

Due to her limited mobility, she will need assistance with daily tasks.

Her son will handle grocery shopping online and leave a menu with the necessary food for her (she follows a legume-based diet).

The caregiver will only need to receive the groceries, put them away, and cook when necessary. Another important task will be helping her walk around the house. She will not need to leave the house for any reason during these two weeks, except for emergencies.

My mother's memory is not very good and she may have undiagnosed senile dementia. She sometimes remembers everything and other times remembers nothing. However, she does remember her past. She is a cheerful person who enjoys classical music and listening to the radio, usually in French. She is also religious and has a strong faith in Christ. She has a good education but spends most of her day in bed due to arthritis pain. The main help needed will be with daily hygiene, meals, and some light walking.
