    Unlimited Technology is a security systems integrator looking to add a strong Accounting Specialist to our team. The ideal candidate will have broad experience in accounting, payroll, human resources, treasury and experience with driving process improvement.

    The role will manage the payroll function and support the People Operations team with payroll related items and lead payroll compliance and reporting. In addition, the role will be our subject matter expert around time entry and overall payroll flow in our new Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP system. The role will lead the creation of process and internal control documentation, testing and accurate flow of data into our general ledger.

    This position reports to the Corporate Controller and will assist with accounting month-end closing process including payroll entries, credit card reporting, account reconciliations, analysis, metrics and reporting. Additionally, the role will handle various special projects, helping to support the rapid growth of the Company.

    We are looking for a person who is very detailed, comfortable with challenging the status quo and can proactively identify opportunities for improvement. The candidate must embrace change as the Company is quickly evolving.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Manage the payroll function including processing, compliance and reporting.
    • Lead documentation and process control around the payroll function including time entry used by our national service team.
    • ERP subject matter expert around time entry in our new ERP system.
    • Key contributor to the monthly closing process ensuring accurate data.
    • Prepare, analyze and communicate data along with researching variances.
    • Help identify and implement best practices to minimize risk and improve efficiency.
    • Help build and ensure compliance to key controls.
    • Support special projects involving People Operations, Accounting, Treasury, FP&A teams.

    Requirements:

    • Degree in Accounting, Business or related fields or five years of general accounting and/or payroll experience.
    • Must be willing to obtain payroll certification.
    • Must be comfortable in Microsoft Excel and able to quickly learn necessary functions to perform role (e.g. look-up's, sumifs, pivots, simple nesting formulas).
    • Ideal candidate will have experienced with higher-end ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite, D365, Oracle, SAP etc.) and third-party payroll processors.
