    **Join Our Family Birthing Center as a Night Nurse**

    *Are you an experienced Registered Nurse passionate about maternal and neonatal care? Want to work where others vacation in beautiful Salida, CO? Join our dedicated team in our Family Birthing Center and make a difference in the lives of mothers and their newborns*

    **Job Description:**

    - Assess and evaluate the health status of labor and neonate patients using objective and subjective data.
    - Collaborate with patients, families, providers, and the healthcare team to create measurable short and long-term care goals.
    - Prioritize patient needs and implement interventions, including education and counseling.
    - Maintain safe and effective care throughout the patient's care episode, stabilizing conditions and preventing complications.
    - Document all interventions and patient responses to ensure optimal health outcomes.
    - Act as a patient advocate, ensuring their needs and preferences are met.

    **Essential Duties:**

    - Provide direct patient care and monitor responses during labor, delivery, and postpartum phases.
    - Promote wellness for mothers pre and post-delivery through continuous education.
    - Educate mothers on infant care and breastfeeding support.
    - Accurately document events and education in patient medical records.
    - Communicate patient conditions effectively with physicians and nursing supervisors.
    - Assist colleagues in maintaining skills and learning new procedures.
    - Collaborate with nursery nurses for mother/baby couplet care.
    - Support physicians during procedures as needed.
    - Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in the Family Birthing Center unit.
    - Be prepared to assist other nursing units in emergencies when possible.

    **Qualifications:**

    - Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program.
    - Minimum of 2 years of Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) experience.
    - Current, active Registered Nurse license in Colorado.
    - Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
    - PALS and NRP certifications are preferred.

    **Physical Requirements:**

    - Ability to use hands for fine motor skills and communicate effectively.
    - Frequent requirements to stand, reach, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
    - Occasional walking or sitting as needed.
    - Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
    - Specific vision abilities required, including close and peripheral vision.

    **Shift Information:**

    - Night shifts from 6 PM to 6 AM, 36 hours per week.
    - Weekend shifts are required; some holidays may also be necessary.
