    Job Description

    A 36 hour per week (full time) position working with veterans and their families to obtain or maintain housing stability and to access other supportive servies as needed.

    Identify safe and affordable options with veterans and their families to obtain or maintain housing stability. Primary focus of this position is housing navigation.

    Minimum qualifications are 24 hours of post-high school education with 12 hours in the human services, education, psychology, or other related field and/or 2 years of experience in human services field or related field.

    Starting wage is $19/hr

    Duties Include:
    Identifying safe and affordable housing options. Seek viable and reasonable housing opportunities. educate landlords on ocus and goals of the program. Assist veterans in applying for housing and conduct housing inspections. Will also work with the SSVF case manager so ensure case coordination and housing stability plan.


    Enrolling veterans in the program through appropriate enrollment guidelines-Review intake information to determine eligibility-Navigate housing opportunities-Proved assistance in obtaining other VA benefits-Assists enrollee and family to determine housing and other goals-Review the progress of goals-Record the progress of these goals-Meet with enrollee at a minimum of once per month but encourage more frequent visits when needed-Maintain client records-Provide weekly updates to supervisor-Ensure all data is recorded in the appropriate data base system-Collaborate with partner agencies and community entities-Maintain a positive work environment through professional communication.
