This position caught my attention as it incorporates my professional interests and would allow me to exercise a range of my skills. In charting my early rise as an educator, to the role I previously held as a corporate Instructional Designer & Service Systems Coach with Burton Heating and Air. My experience is substantive and multifaceted. In my recent role with Burton, I ensured the continual improvement of a technician’s development and training while retaining motivations to the company and corporate’s core values, mission, and objectives. I joined Burton at a pivotal time during their transition into corporate and was entrusted with presiding over the design and deployment of a dynamic system that involved onboarding, training, and the development of a new sales initiative and customer service presentation. I partnered closely with other instructional coaches and service mangers to assess their current technician skillsets and set clear goals by which to track progression, crafting and facilitating tailored training plans to improve customer service interaction techniques, overall knowledge, and a reestablishment of company reputation. In addition, I developed and directed inter- departmental team coordination and mentoring best practices while accommodating and managing different levels of understandings or skills by leveraging a range of tactics, tools, and methodologies to achieve positive outcomes. Thus, through my experience steeped full of instructional design, team performance tailoring, and learning management leadership, I am immersed in trends that can change an industry and a company’s success.
Prior to joining Burton, I established a strong record of advancement during my time as an educator and athletic coach at both Midland University and Samuel Clemens High School. As an adept High School Teacher, I pioneered the design, development, and delivery of engaging in-person and online instructional design aligned with state & local curriculum objectives. While supporting students at all high school levels in achieving academic and performance goals, I also endured and overcame several challenges during the recent COVID pandemic by remotely designing and facilitating instructional content. Through continual performance monitoring, I have become well versed managing periodic progress, monitoring and facilitating learning outcomes and objectives, and other facets by which to track an individuals learning and development. The results of my leadership earned repeated commendation from colleagues and stakeholders, as I cultivated safe, collaborative, and motivational learning environments.
