The NEW Netz GmbH is your distribution network operator in the regions of Heinsberg, Mönchengladbach, Viersen and parts of the Rhein-Kreis Neuss. We are responsible for the operation, planning, maintenance and expansion of the local and regional electricity, gas and drinking water distribution networks, as well as the basic metering operation.

The NEW Netz GmbH is looking for a Cyber Security Expert (m/f/d) with a focus on intrusion detection for their location in Mönchengladbach within the Process Communication and System Infrastructure department.

Job Description:



Your energy is needed here:

  • You monitor, track and analyze network and system events for anomalies and compromises
  • You evaluate and track security alerts from various detection engines and initiate incident response measures
  • You assess and manage current situation, warning and vulnerability notifications across teams
  • You assess information security risks, conduct technical analyses and take measures against cyber risks and attacks
  • You are responsible for basic forensics in network, server and client infrastructure (Windows/Linux)
  • You develop technical measures for threat detection and actively participate in the design and establishment of a CERT/CSIRT
