The Tisch MS Research Center of New York is seeking a passionate and driven Development Assistant to join our mission-driven team.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in accelerating groundbreaking medical research and bringing us closer to finding a cure for multiple sclerosis.


As the Development Assistant, you will provide critical administrative support to our Development Department, contributing to a wide range of initiatives that drive our fundraising efforts.

From special events and major gifts to corporate solicitations, you will have the chance to make a tangible impact on our ability to translate research discoveries from the lab to the bedside.

  • Assist with all outreach campaigns to ensure financial goals are met
  • Tasks can include writing copy, designing materials, working with mailing lists, etc.
  • Assist with implementing existing campaigns as well as creating and launching new efforts
  • Update constituent database on regular basis ensuring all information is correct and uptodate
  • Create and administer donor acknowledgment documentation as well as tribute cards as needed
  • Help in facilitating Board meetings from scheduling and preparing materials to recording the minutes
  • Assist in relationship building with donors and Board members
  • Support fundraising events; coordinate event logistics including venue research, manage ticket purchases and guest lists; take a lead role in dayof activities
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Create and run development reports
  • Work with accounting on reporting

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Development experience helpful, but not required
  • Attention to detail is essential
  • Ability to take direction well, work independently and be selfdirected
  • Ability to problem solve, multitask, and manage deadlines
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills internally and externally
  • Interest in medical research is a plus
  • Experience with Bloomerang a plus or similar client relationship software a plus

Pay:
$60, $70,000.00 per year
