The LA Marketing Specialist provides a connection between Vibram and the LA community - responsible for local events, brand partnerships, community outreach and facilities management.

Located in the heart of the Arts District, the Vibram Connection Lab houses many functions including workshop space, design center, resoling / customizing and footwear prototyping.

The space is a hub for the footwear industry and LA's creative community.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Lead the development and execution of marketing activities tailored to the LA region, aligning with Vibram's overall brand objectives and values.
  • Become the primary point of contact between the LA community and Vibram LA space.
  • Develop and implement marketing initiatives to educate consumers, retailers and industry professionals on Vibram products, technologies, and sustainability efforts, fostering brand loyalty and advocacy.
  • Plan and execute regional local events in the studio space along with support and direction from our Creative Content Coordinator and North America marketing team.
  • Collaborate with partners on cobranded initiatives, sponsorships and events to amplify Vibram's presence and impact.
  • Support to maintain event calendar for the LA studio, in collaboration with the Creative Director and the Creative Content Coordinator.
  • Coordinate crossfunctional marketing efforts with internal teams, agencies and external partners to ensure seamless execution and measurable results across various channels, including digital, social, experiential and traditional media.
  • Lead Vibram product discussions about brand history and heritage.
  • Utilize project management tools to strategically plan and schedule new visits and workshops.
  • Engage with the local community and footwear industry by attending events and networking with local startups and organizations.
  • Leverage datadriven insights to optimize strategies, allocate different resources and achieve business objectives.
  • Continuously evaluate market trends, competitive landscape and consumer feedback to identify opportunities for innovation and growth, ensuring Vibram remains a leader in the LA market.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with vendors.
  • Oversee interoffice shipping, receiving and facility repairs and services.
  • Conduct facilities audits and complete store check lists, restocking office supplies as necessary.
  • Ensure the studio and working spaces are clean, properly organized and operational from the customizing lab to the kitchen, bathrooms, conference rooms, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • You have 23 years of office, retail, event management and marketing experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in communications / marketing is preferred.
  • Have a passion for service and delivering an exceptional experience for guests and new clients.
  • You seek the best (not necessarily the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right.
  • Basic graphic design and social media skills required.
  • Knowledge of the footwear / fashion industry is a major plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Excellent time management and problemsolving ability
  • Efficient with Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Excel, etc)
  • Adobe suite is a plus.

Expectations:


  • Hybrid work with 4 days in the office and 1 day from home (potential to change)
  • Maintaining a clean office with fully stocked inventory
  • Tracking packages and all shipping and receiving
  • Ensuring the office is properly maintained, in working order and open for appointments.
  • Ability to work cross functionally with our marketing team, vendors and different collaborators for events and activations.
  • Coordination with local vendors to set up events with the appropriate parties.
  • Ability to handle seeding, content creation and pitch new concepts with Marketing and our LA team.
  • Full time, 40 hours per week, salaried position $75K$95K based on experience
  • Will be directly reporting to the Creative Director of Special Projects in LA with a dotted structure to Marketing based in Portland, Oregon.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
