- Duties:
- Manage and coordinate transportation operations, including routing, scheduling, and tracking of shipments
- Utilize phone systems and other communication tools to effectively communicate with carriers, drivers, and internal teams
- Utilize transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management and AS400 to track and manage shipments
- Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accurate documentation and timely processing of orders
- Perform data entry tasks to update and maintain transportation records and reports
- Collaborate with thirdparty logistics providers (3PL) to optimize transportation operations
- Assist in inventory management activities, including cycle counting and reconciling discrepancies
- Support the operations team with various administrative tasks as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus
- Proven experience in transportation management or related field
- Proficiency in using transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management and AS400
- Strong knowledge of fleet management principles and practices
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes and documentation
- Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal teams, carriers, drivers, and thirdparty logistics providers
- Proficiency in using computer software programs such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
