- Lead and coordinate the special education process across two elementary schools, ensuring compliance with Missouri state laws and district policies.
- Collaborate with special education teachers, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and building supervisors to support student needs and program implementation.
- Facilitate and lead evaluations and Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and involved.
- Communicate effectively with parents, providing regular updates on student progress, addressing concerns, and ensuring their involvement in the IEP process.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, documentation, and reports related to special education services and student progress.
- Provide training and support to staff on special education processes, best practices, and legal requirements.
- Extended experience as a Special Education Teacher in Missouri, with a deep understanding of state laws and regulations.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to coordinate and manage processes without direct supervision.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse team of educators, therapists, and administrators.
- Commitment to promoting inclusive education practices and supporting the success of all students.
