Major Duties:

  • Partners with the Head of the Wealth Management Privacy, Data Governance, and Data Quality to enhance the data quality strategy and framework for Wealth Management
  • Maintains the business case for data quality with alignment to strategic business priorities
  • Provides updates for the Wealth Management Chief Data Officer as well as executive business leadership on the outcomes of data quality initiatives
  • Participates in the creation of quarterly funding memos for data quality initiatives
  • Implements and tracks adoption of the data quality framework across critical data for Wealth Management
  • Collaborates with senior management in developing recommendations around policies, standards, and framework for data quality
  • Implements solutions to improve data quality maturity
  • Develops and executes a communication and change management plan for data quality activities
  • Engages with the industry to learn about best practices and gain insightful competitive and regulatory intelligence to help in building excellence in our data quality initiatives
  • Manages the data quality team, sets their goals and priorities, and identifies and recruits to mitigate resource gaps
  • Provides leadership and guidance to staff, fostering an environment that encourages employee participation, teamwork, and communication
  • Guided by policies and departmental plan, impacts the team's ability to achieve service, quality and timeliness of objectives
  • Enables the team to partner across the organization and execute on the creation and maintenance of data quality rules

Knowledge:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
  • Indepth data quality, data governance, and data management knowledge is required. Knowledge and experience with the Data Management Capabilities Assessment Model (DCAM) is preferred
  • Experience with Metadata management tools (Collibra, Infosphere Information Governance Catalog) is desired
  • Proven track record of leading and participating in data quality initiatives
  • Strong project management and/or organization skills
  • Leadership and organizational skills are required to determine the Business Unit's goals, resources needed, and to assess and develop the skills of staff
  • Applies understanding of the business and how own area integrates with others to achieve departmental objectives

Experience:

  • A College or University degree and/or recent and relevant data quality, data governance, and data management work experience is required.
  • Has prior experience managing one or more teams; adapting department plans and priorities to meet shortterm service and/or operational objectives
