The AP Analyst will play an important role to our Accounting team, contributing to the advancement of the department and management of the financial transactions from recording and processing invoices on time, tracking expenses, preparing comprehensive reports & analysis, account reconciliations, maintaining accounts on good terms and according to cash flow controls and ensuring strict adherence to accuracy and accounting principles.
Responsibilities:
-Review, process, allocate and manage vendor invoices
-Manage online banking, checks, and credit card payment processing
-Reconcile accounts, post accruals and journal entries
-Prepare and track balance sheet schedules
-Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
-Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
-Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
-Assist with tax returns, internal and external controls to ensure accuracy
-Assist on budget preparation, invoice approval and identifying variances
-Support month, quarter and year-end close process
-Maintain an effective document and file record keeping
Requirements:
-Must have bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related
-Must have minimum of 2 years of accounting work experience
-Sound understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
-Analytical, spreadsheet proficient with a growth mindset
-Meticulous attention to detail with the superb organizational skills
-Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
-Critical thinker with a high proficiency in math
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team
-Excellent report writing, communication and problem-solving skills
-Advanced competency in Microsoft Office (mainly Excel) and accounting software packages.
Other Responsibilities: maintaining a great relationship with vendors, distributor reps, employees, partners and customers. Supporting all areas of a small business on its construction and retail nature, such as office administration, purchasing, marketing, sales, operations, warehouse, installation, customer service and any related additional tasks needed.
