What can you make of yourself in Pittsville?

Become the king of the road(s). During your training, you will learn everything about transportation policies, route and tour planning, handling freight documents, and possibly also customs procedures. The timely delivery of goods to an EDEKA market is always the focus. The maintenance and technical inspection of your vehicle, as well as the consistent adherence to specific cooling requirements for goods, also play a major role in your training. Exciting, isn't it?

This profession requires a lot of concentration and skill in critical situations - because your workplace is the driver's cab of a truck or semi-trailer. You will get to know the whole (federal) country and travel more than some people do in their entire lives. However, you will usually be back home every day after work.

  • You deliver goods of all product groups to retail stores
  • You check the modern technology of your vehicle
  • You control transport regulations and implement them
  • You plan routes and tours
  • You conduct acceptance and departure checks
  • You secure the cargo and check its safe packaging and stowage
