    Village Green Landscapes is a locally owned and operated full-scale landscape company serving the Twin City metro area with office locations in Saint Paul, New Brighton, Brooklyn Park, and Savage. Village Green Landscapes is searching for a dedicated full-time Lawn Chemical Technician. This role involves the application of chemicals for weed control and fertilizer at our St. Paul or Brooklyn Park locations. There is a chance for full-time year-round employment, especially for those interested in commercial snow removal during winter. Employees are eligible for benefits with year-round employment.

    POSITION SUMMARY: This essential role ensures client properties are aesthetically pleasing, safe, and well-kept. The Lawn Care Technician will apply fertilizers and pesticides to promote lawn growth and preserve trees, ornamental turf, and control weeds on client properties.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Handle, mix, and apply pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, and chemicals using dry and liquid machines
    • Operate and maintain all equipment following company safety and maintenance standards
    • Keep records of job status
    • Utilize various operating systems and technology to track and report tasks
    • Deliver excellent customer service
    • Collaborate with the team and company leadership
    • Demonstrate strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills while working autonomously
    • Make high-quality decisions in a fast-paced environment

    QUALIFICATIONS
    Required

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Commercial Pesticide Applicator license for core (A) and turf & ornaments (E) required or obtainable within 30 days of employment
    • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
    • Valid DOT card or ability to acquire one
    • Pass a pre-employment drug test

    Compensation details: 27-32 Hourly Wage
