In addition, the BU AxM (Business Unit-Axial Piston Machines) is located at the Ettlingen site. This is the competence center for hydraulic components within Liebherr Machines Bulle and Liebherr-Ettlingen GmbH.

At the two locations, Bulle in the canton of Fribourg and Ettlingen near Karlsruhe, the BU AxM develops, designs and manufactures powerful products in the field of hydraulic drive and control technology.

The hydraulic products and their components are manufactured using state-of-the-art processes and make a significant contribution to the quality and performance of Liebherr Group's mobile and crawler excavators, mining machines, wheel loaders and other mobile work machines.


To support and build our development department of BU AxM in Ettlingen, we are currently looking for a Development Engineer (m/f/d) - Electrification of Hydraulic Components.


Creating fascination:
Your tasks


  • Joint development of a system for electrified control of our products in hardware and software
  • Development of modelbased software modules (controls) by creating, verifying and validating multidomain 1D simulation models (ModelintheLoop)
  • Identification and testing of suitable mobile controls and sensors in collaboration with suppliers, service providers and customers
  • Transfer of software modules to the respective field devices (Software/HardwareintheLoop)
  • Design, implementation and introduction of related processes for parameterization of modelbased controls, which are to be used during commissioning with the customer
