General Information:

Student Assistant for Programming and Wellness and Wellbeing for the Fraternity and Sorority Life Office.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Function as a member of the Fraternity and Sorority Life staff by participating in monthly staff meetings, weekly office hours (10/week) and FSL office coverage, training workshops and other Fraternity and Sorority life events as needed.
  • Serve as a resource and advocate to the executive officers of the Fraternity and Sorority Life community.
  • Survey all organizations to determine what programs would be of interest to the Greek Community.
  • Communicate, collaborate, and assist in enforcing the University, IFC, Panhellenic and FSL policies.
  • Present and educate FSL chapters on FSL expectations of risk mitigation and wellness.
  • Collaborate with the IFC, Panhellenic and ICGC communities on programming and wellness/wellbeing events.
  • Plan and facilitate Greek Week.
  • Plan and facilitate National Hazing Prevention Week.
  • Work with the offices Pro Staff to plan programming for the entire FSL community.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

James Madison University student.


Conditions of Employment:


Students must be degree-seeking students, enrolled on at least a half-time basis (6 credits for undergraduate and 5 credits for graduate).

Students must have a 2.0 or better cumulative GPA.
