SET-UP PROCESS TECHNICIAN
JOB DESCRIPTION
Reports To:
Shift Supervisor Department:
Production Manufacturing
Job Summary:
Works in cooperation with Supervisors, Material Handlers, Inspectors, Quality Team Leads and Production/Quality Managers in coordinating the processing and trouble shooting of all machines and equipment.
Responsibilities:
The primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Ø Dimensional verification quality checks on all production product running utilizing metrology equipment and gages.
Ø Conduct and Record ALL required dimensional checks, gage SPC checks, and visual checks to the Master Boundary Sample and Master Color plaques on Quality Control Report.
Ø Responsible for ALL FIRST PIECE and LAST PIECE Shot documentation and part retention
Ø Ensure all job totes are complete and returned to Quality Rack when job is completed with Last shots
Ø Assist in Supervisor responsibilities when ask to cover.
Ø Support Program and Tooling Manager's
Ø Take ownership of all samples (trial runs) both prototype and production and complete all required sample paperwork.
Ø Complete RMT's as needed or requested.
Ø Responsible for mold changes
Ø Assists material handling and related assembly operations
Ø Continually optimize process setting and troubleshooting of processes.
Ø Monitoring and maintain all production process set-up sheets for all processes
Ø Light maintenance relating to a continual production environment
Ø Assistance with production and quality related improvements
Ø Assists with giving Operators breaks as necessary
Ø Documentation:
assisting with plant production requirements
Ø Assist with other tasked assigned by Supervisor or Management Staff.
Job Qualifications:
Ø Ability to take directions
Ø Ability to work independently and with others
Ø Must have own tools
Ø Superior knowledge of all molding processes and Procedures
Ø Overtime as required
Ø Report on-time and have excellent attendance record
Ø Ability to lift a minimum of 56 lbs.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (should have working knowledge of the following):
Ø Familiarity with Tool and Molding Operations
Ø Must be able to work with and understand machine controls
Ø Good communication skills (oral and written)
Ø Self-Motivated and Self
- Directed
Ø Capable of working in a controlled chemical environment
Authority:
To consult with Shift Supervisor if a process is affecting Quality or Safety.
Minimal Training:
Hi-Lo Training, Lock-out Tag-out Training, Crane Operation Training, Machine Set-up Training.
Minimal Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimal Experience:
Previous 5 years working experience in Material Handling and Set-up.
Pay:
$ $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
