Dr.
  • Ing.
Sachau), the position of a Scientific Assistant (m/f/d) (pay grade 13 Collective Agreement for the Public Service (TVöD); 39 hours per week) is to be filled for a period of 3 years starting at the earliest possible date.

The scientific work is carried out within the framework of the third-party research project "Localization and Identification of Acoustic Anomalies in Ship Technical Systems (LIAS)", funded by the Military Technical Service for Ships, Naval Weapons, Maritime Technology and Research (WTD 71).

The aim is to advance research in the field of localization of (body) sound sources.

Within the project, methods will be investigated and further developed that will enable crews of naval units to locate and identify the sources of acoustic anomalies using an existing sensor network.

This allows the crew to take specific measures to quickly restore the full operational capability of the unit. The research focus of the chair is the analysis, optimization and control of mechatronic systems. The application areas range from aerospace engineering, vehicle technology and maritime applications to structural engineering.

Responsibilities:
Investigation of methods for localizing acoustic anomalies and identifying units with abnormal operating behavior in ship
