We are looking for a Quality Control Inspector to join our team. In this position you will conduct routine inspection of precision machined parts and/or complex fabricated parts. You will also perform a wide variety of electronic inspections including PCB's, sub-assemblies and final systems.This is a contract position where you will work independently with minimum supervision to assure required quality standards are met.
Responsibilities:
- Plans and evaluates the inspection of precision machined parts and/or complex fabricated parts to assure conformance to specifications.
- Experience working directly with suppliers to complete "First Article" Inspection requirements for new parts, including fabricated build to print parts and critical OEM components.
- Performs the most difficult inspection of precision machines parts and/or complex fabricated parts/assemblies from minimum documentation.
- Applies knowledge of assembly/fabrication techniques and machining methods to improve inspection methods and techniques, criteria, and quality yields.
- Analyzes dimensional variations caused by tool construction, tool operation, or tool failure.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications and Key Personal Attributes:
- Minimum of 2 years experience.
- Completion of formal training such as college level program in quality assurance may be substituted for an equivalent portion of job experience.
- Diversified precision mechanical inspection skills and knowledge of machining/fabrication techniques.
- Requires the use of math calculations through trigonometry.
- Knowledge of surface plate setup skills.
- Knowledge of ANSI Y14 specs, ability to read blueprints.
- Experience using common, standard and specialized mechanical gauges and/or equipment as required in area of operation.
- Roll up your sleeves, positive, do what it takes attitude, which is critical in a small company environment.
