Description
SAIC seeks an experienced and energetic Project Manager to directly support the modernization of the space launch ranges, meeting mission requirements, providing range capabilities, and supporting the Assured Access to Space (AATS) mission.
The overarching purpose of the program is to perform system modernization and digital transformation projects that will enable the acceleration of the space launch cadence to enable the Spaceport of the future.
In support of the government program office, the Project Manager is principally responsible for exceptional accomplishment of assigned Technical Direction Letters (TDLs) including all aspects of project execution (cost, schedule, performance, and technical requirements).
The PM is the program's "face-to-the-customer," responding to direction, negotiating project issues, team management, integration management, and successful completion of all project activities.
Leads a multi-functional team of mission, hardware and software engineering, sustainment, training, logistics, security (including cyber) and support specialists responsible for overall system operational availability.
This position is in the Cape Canaveral, FL area.Qualifications
Required Education:
- TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and fifteen (15) years or more of related experience; Masters and thirteen (13) years or more experience; PhD or JD and ten (10) years or more experience.
Required Skills:
- Experience managing largescale modernization projects, to include cost estimating and management, schedule development, performance monitoring and reporting
- Experience delivering multiple simultaneous modernization initiatives.
- Experience managing largescale Agile or DevSecOps teams/projects, to include support to backlog grooming, cost estimating, baseline and risk management, schedule development, performance monitoring and reporting
- Experience leading waterfall to Agile transformations, designed to deliver Minimum Viable Products in a consistent cadence.
- Experience managing Digital and Modelbased Systems Engineering efforts
- Demonstrated proficiency in communicating with customers to fully understand operational requirements; and in translating those requirements into project plans and performance measures.
- Familiarity with missioncritical, data network operations, maintenance and sustainment
Training and Certifications:
- Current relevant project management certification
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Project Management Institute Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) Certification
Clearance:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret clearance
Desired Qualifications:
- 5 years managing teams/projects acquiring, maintaining, and sustaining integrated solutions for DoD environments
- Experience managing teams/projects acquiring, maintaining, and sustaining integrated solutions for space launch or other national security space mission systems
