PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST (not for profit) 45K

Overview:

Looking for a Procurement Specialist to join our accounting team for a not for profit in Brooklyn NY.

This position will play a vital role in supporting the procurement process by assisting with sourcing suppliers, managing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.

Responsibilities:

Research and identify potential suppliers/vendors, procure price quotations, and negotiate terms.
Maintain an extensive supplier database.
Collect bids on all purchases over $5,000.
Record invoices to match to the sites or programs with supporting documents.
Monitor account balances to track expense categories for all budgets.
Support the creation and processing of purchase orders, ensuring accuracy.
Monitor order status for timely delivery and liaise with suppliers to resolve issues.
Maintain precise procurement records and organize documents for easy retrieval.
Ensure adherence to procurement policies and regulations.
Assist in supplier evaluation and stay updated on industry best practices.
Support cost analysis and identify opportunities for savings.

Requirements:

Associate or bachelor's degree in business management preferred.
3+ years of proven experience as a procurement Specialist or in a similar role
Proficiency in procurement software and tools is advantageous, particularly familiarity with Fund EZ and HeavyBid
Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Pay:
$40, $45,000.00 per year
