Function:


In support of regional field Operations, this role interfacesdirectly with vendors and customers to manage the contractual responsibilities,SOP's, service quality and delivery, audits of equipment and services, negotiatethe resolution of issues and complaints, ensure regulatory compliance, analyzeand evaluate operations, and prepare applicable reports and information.


Purpose/Summary:


Key Responsibilities:


  • Managesand ensures operational activities fulfill KPIs and vendor SLA's within thecontext of company contracts and standards.


o Responsiblefor guidance, oversight and advisement to vendor management for contract compliance,adherence to terms and services, and resolution of both routine and complexissues.


o Expected toregularly evaluate vendor services and quality and prepare reports onrecommended courses of action and plans to Flexi-Van upper management.


o Directlymanages and controls M&R costs for chassis, generates analyticalinformation and reporting to support cost reduction initiatives, and isdirectly involved in purchasing, and obtaining necessary materials and supplies.


o Expectedto work with the top/key Corporate functional and process owners to manage and ensureproper inventory levels and smooth flow of chassis within the region.


o Willserve as the key liaison between company vendors and Flexi-Van leadership to effectivelyresolve complex issues and operational challenges as they arise.


o Reportsand communicates with multiple process owners regarding inspections, repairs,inventory management, fulfillment of contracts terms and SLA's, safety, andoperating SOP's and KPI's.

o Managesthe audit, modification, and approval of repair estimates for managed vendors.


o Directly conductsperiodically required vendor audits (in accordance with contract terms),reports on findings and variances, and conducts follow-up at the Depots andother locations as assigned to ensure Flexi-Van standards are maintained.

Provides feedback and recommended courses of action to vendors and Flexi-VanSenior management.

o Other duties asassigned.


Position
Specifications & Minimum Requirements:

Education and Experience

  • Highschooldiploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 year'sIntermodal experience both chassis M&R and operations, strong knowledge ofindustry.
  • Ability to obtain andmaintain an IICL Chassis Inspector Certification
  • Must be able toobtain a c and qualify for ERailSafe credentials

Technical Skills and Competencies Required:
o Must possess avalid Driver's License

o Strong leadershipskills; ability to clearly provide guidance to vendors and negotiateresolutions.

o Excellent writtenand oral communication skills.

o Strongorganization skills.

o Familiarity withFMCSA, DOT and IICL regulations.


o Must be able toperform "walk-around" inspection of chassis, as well as using a crawler tocheck brakes and axles as required.

o On an infrequentbasis, must be able to lift and move truck tires (approx. 40 lbs.)

o Flexibility toquickly adapt to change and tolerance with ambiguity.

o Excellentattention to detail.

o Must be able to multi-taskand work independently.


Travel Requirements:
Mostly regional with only occasional, intermittentovernight travel.


Education
Level:
High-school diploma or equivalent.
Associates degree desired. IICLcertification.
