Position Summary

The Preschool Teacher is responsible for providing a warm, positive, nurturing and organized environment for preschool children to learn through developmentally-appropriate activities and interactions.

This position will consult and collaborate with other members of the interdisciplinary team to develop an understanding of each child's unique individual needs, and to develop effective curriculum and instructional strategies, which promote social/emotional development, communication and language development, intellectual and cognitive development, visual-spatial processing, sensory-motor function, and executive functioning.

In addition, the position must maintain professional communication with all team members, families, and the community.

The Preschool Teacher works collaboratively with each family and other team members to ensure that each child is provided with the highest quality educational program for optimal success educationally, socially, and emotionally.

Qualifications:
A minimum of 12 ECE (Early Childhood Education) units and related experience. An Associate's, Bachelor's degree is preferred.

• Knowledge of child development.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational, problemsolving and analytical skills; able to manage competing priorities and workflow.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
• Must be able to close at 6 PM.
• Lift a minimum of 30 pounds

Teacher Role


Pay:
$ $25.00 per hour


Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• No nights
• No weekends
• Livermore, CA 94550
