- Developing clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation for MCTSSA's new STRL personnel management system and related processes
- Collaborating with subject matter experts, developers, and stakeholders to understand system functionality, policies, and requirements
- Conducting research and analysis to gather technical information and documentation requirements
- Writing, editing, and maintaining system user guides, training materials, process documentation, and standard operating procedures
- Ensuring documentation adheres to established standards, templates, and style guides
- Incorporating feedback and updates from review cycles to improve documentation accuracy and usability
- Assisting in developing content for Federal Register notices, public communications, and policy documentation related to the STRL personnel system
- Supporting knowledge transfer and change management activities through clear and effective technical writing
- Maintaining a central repository for technical documentation and knowledge assets
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, Journalism, or a related field
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in technical writing or content development roles
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to understand and translate complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly language
- Familiarity with documentation standards, styles, and best practices
- Knowledge of common documentation tools and content management systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycle and IT service management principles
- Proven experience in developing technical documentation, user guides, and training materials
- Experience with document version control and collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint, Git)
- Ability to quickly learn and understand new technologies, systems, and subject matter areas
- Familiarity with Human Resources policies, personnel management frameworks, and federal regulations
- Background in writing for government, military, or technology-focused organizations
- Knowledge of instructional design principles and e-learning content development
- Monday - Friday, normal working hours
