Description
The Nurse Manager assumes 24-hour responsibility for directing and coordinating the clinical activities and operations of CSD - Cardiac Step-Down from CVSICU Unit.
The Nurse Manager directs, supervises and evaluates the performance of the nursing staff, contributes to the development of a fully qualified and continuously improving staff, and he/she supports work redesign and quality improvement within the department.
Schedules staff in the most cost-effective manner using Shifthound Proactively plans for future staffing needs by using forecasting data in Shifthound .
Ensures staff schedules are complete and published in Shifthound within the appropriate time frame. Monitors patient classification, patient assignments and reconciliation in Shifthound .Ensures that the unit is following our systematic method for predicting the numbers and types of required resources and making equitable and safe patient assignments.
The 295-bed hospital with over 550 physicians, residents and allied health professionals, offers advanced healthcare services in a caring and compassionate environment.
Services include cardiac care and cardiovascular medicine, emergency care for all ages, surgery services — including robotic-assisted surgery with the da Vinci Surgical System, a weight–loss program, orthopedic services, outpatient and inpatient radiology and rehabilitation, respiratory care, sleep, oncology, wound care and women's and children's services.
Manatee Memorial Hospital offers a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for babies with special needs and has the only Pediatric Center in Manatee County.
