    Description

    Join the team at US Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation System eXtended (US BICES-X) - a program by GDIT dedicated to supporting DoD intelligence information sharing on global threats. As part of this fast-paced, internationally dispersed team, you'll directly assist the war fighter in their missions.

    About the Job Title and the Company:

    Responsibilities:

    • Performs Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) tasks for a large Program.
    • Works with government Program staff, USAF, and other agencies.
    • Implements and administers Security Ops within Defensive Cyber Operations-Infrastructure environment.
    • Supports DCO Firewall Team in troubleshooting network issues and maintaining network infrastructure.
    • Conducts audits using Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and other tools.
    • Reports events within the network to protect information systems.
    • Conducts Cybersecurity activities and informs senior personnel on security posture.
    • Guides less-experienced staff and maintains knowledge of relevant technology.
    • Participates in special projects as needed.

    Required Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of Firewall/IPS/Networking experience.
    • TS/SCI clearance.
    • DOD .01M IAT Level II & CSSP-Infrastructure Support compliance.
    • CCNA or better certification for Firewall Administration. BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
    • Understanding of DOD RMF.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with firewalls on organizational networks.
    • Strong background in networking technology.
    • Proficiency with Next-Gen Firewalls/Next-Gen IPS.
    • Experience with IPS technology and Gigamon Traffic Visibility devices.
    • Experience with Splunk or similar SIEM solutions.
    • Experience with Linux, Wireshark, and Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) beneficial.
    • Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
    • Adherence to team standards and SOPs.
    • Work is office-based with some physical effort involved.
